In our last In our last blog post we talked about Modern Arts. In today's blog, we will discuss about
New Media Arts / Contemporary Art (Late 1900s - Present).
As mentioned earlier, the eras Pop-Art and Neo-Expressionism are considered Contemporary Art. We will not talk about them here, as they were mentioned in our last blog post.
There are only 2 eras of art that are still alive today:
- Photorealism (1968 - Present)
- Contemporary Art (1978 - Present)
Photorealism is painting, drawing and other graphic media, in which an artist studies a photograph and then reproduces the image as realistically as possible in any other form of art.
Contemporary Art, is just, well, Media arts. To summarize the evolution of Contemporary Art, we will go through its development decade by decade.

1990s: Digital Art, Internet Art, Software Art,
