Today's topic is: Mass Media
Mass Media is a way of communication used to address a massive audience at once. Books and Newspapers, Television, Radio, Videos on the Internet, and Movies and Documentaries are all examples of Mass Media, because they communicate with a huge number of people. There are 5 types of Mass Media:

- Traditional Media
- Print Media
- Electronic Broadcasting Media
Outdoor Media
- Digital or New Media
Traditional Media is the oldest form of mass media. It is basically how tradition and culture is passed down through generations. Traditional Media includes songs, music, drama, and festivals.
Print Media is the form of information that is communicated to the audience in a physical form, or print form. Though the printing press was not invented till 1436, print media can be traced back to as far as the early age. This is because before the printing press, information was conveyed to the public through manuscripts. Forms of Print Media include newspapers, books, and comics.
Electronic Broadcasting Media is sharing information to the public in the means of electronics: either audio (e.x radio) or visuals (e.x TV).
Outdoor Media is a form of mass media where information is shared by either big, eye-catching posters or by distributing papers. This type of mass media is usually used for advertising. Signs, Placards, Posters, and Banners are all examples of Outdoor Media.
Digital/New Media is any form of media - audio, text, graphics, video - shared to the public through the Internet. Examples of New Media include Emails, Website, Social Media, Blogging, Vlogging, Computer Animations, Digital Videos, VR, and Podcast.
Mass Media is plays a crucial role in our lives everyday. I can't even imagine a day without mass media!
