Commercial Arts

 Today's topic is: Commercial Arts

Commercial Arts is art used in advertising and selling. We see it everyday, everywhere. Commercial Arts includes everything from brand logos to billboard ads. If an ad ever popped up while you were scrolling through the Internet, or if you ever saw an advertisement at the bus stop, you were viewing a piece of Commercial Arts. Before, one had to go outside to be exposed to Commercial Arts. Today, we can just sit in the comfort of our homes, connect to the Internet, and Bingo! You'll see numerous ads, in various forms. Commercial Art was originally only in print form (flyers) and illustrations (on billboards). Today, however, we see various forms of commercial arts, including in video form (YouTube Ads).

Commercial Art began in the early 19th century, in print form. As businesses really begun to benefit from adverting, they tried to advertise in any was possible. This lead to the development of other forms of commercial art, including TV advertising.
Commercial Arts is a great way to bring in customers for a business. In my opinion, it is a great way to utilize art. What form of Commercial Arts do you see the most? Let us know in the comments!
